5 Ingredient Cheesecake

Cheesecake is always demanded when at a food party with friends and family, but every time I explain to people how easy it is to make, I often times receive a double take! With only FIVE ingredients this is how I make some slamming cheesecake.

(2) Packages of 8 oz cream cheese, or Neufchâtel cheese, if you’re on a health kick

(2) whole eggs

(1/2) cup of white sugar

(1/2) teaspoon of vanilla extract

(1) graham cracker crust, this can be bought at your neighbourhood grocery store, I get mine for cheap at Aldi

When you start, make sure you have ROOM TEMPERATURE cream cheese, or remove the foil imagewrappings, and place in a microwave for thirty seconds, or until soft. If using a kitchen aid the softer cheese will help your mixer not work too hard, and if mixing by hand, this will make baking all the more bearable.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees, and mix your cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until well blended. If using an electric mixer, do this process on medium speed. Then add the eggs, then mix until well blended. It is not necessary to add one egg at a time. Then pour the prepared mixture into the graham cracker shell, and bake for 40 mins, or until centre is no longer jiggly. If cheesecake dances like jello, tack on five more minutes, but a little movement is okay. The cheesecake will rise and may brown while cooking, this is all very normal.

Cheers to a slice of rich yummy cheesecake ~
